Daniel is a classically trained guitarist from Haiti who, after moving to the United States in 1979, studied jazz composition and arranging at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He then went on to get a B.S. Degree in Music Therapy from SUNY in New Paltz, NY and a Masters in Music Education from Hunter College in NYC. He is an accomplished jazz quitarist who has performed as a solo guitarist and also side man with bands in the Hudson Valley, New York City, and California. Resume:(pdf)

Daniel has also toured in South America, the Caribbean, and Europe where he has gathered many instruments for his popular interactive International Music Workshop that engages children of all ages who have imagination and love music. While living in Boston, MA he gave workshops involving both Tufts University and Harvard students.

In the Hudson Valley, NY he has been teaching Guitar II at SUNY New Paltz and French Language and French Culture, History of Jazz, and Music of the 60's & 70's at SUNY Empire State College at the Newgurgh NY Center.

Daniel is liscensed to practice both Music and Creative Arts Therapy and has been teaching youngsters to appreciate and play Jazz, as well as many other musical genres from around the world, for over 20 years. Aside from his busy schedule as a professional musician he is currently teaching music for the Greenburgh-North Castle Union Free School District in Westchester County NY.
